The Sightmark PVS-14 is a combat proven (Iraq and Afghanistan) Night Vision Monocular / Goggle used by the US Military and Special Forces. This ruggedly designed Generation 3 PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular utilizes a single standard AA battery compartment (a recent upgrade feature), automatic brightness control and manual adjustable gain to achieve the highest quality image performance for the demands of varying light conditions. The Sightmark AN/PVS-14 is probably the best multi-functional night vision monocular available featuring the highest quality mil-spec, multi-coated optics available. The designation AN/PVS translates to Army/Navy Portable Visual Search. The Sightmark AN/PVS-14 can be used hands free when head or helmet mounted or mounted on your weapon in tandem with your existing sights such as EOTech HWS. The typical configuration for night vision compatible EOTech Holographic Weapon Sights is mounting the Sightmark AN/PVS-14 monocular night vision system and the HWS in tandem on the weapon’s receiver. A major advantage of the PVS-14 is its gain control. This vital function gives the user the ability to increase or decrease the tube gain. The manual gain control feature allows the user to increase or decrease image tube brightness for the best possible image contrast in high and low light conditions. Additional features of the AN/PVS-14 include an infrared LED with LED indicator, and a low battery indicator. Also, Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Source Protection are standard and protect the tube from being damaged when exposed to intense light sources.
