The Pulsar
Digisight N550 riflescope includes a “One Shot Zero” function to make the sighting
in process easier than ever before. We must admit this sounded too good to be true. Note: you can sight in the Digisight N550 in
daylight without harming the sight.
Be sure to follow the user manual when sighting
in your rifle in using the “one shot” capability of this scope. Below the procedure is paraphrased to give you
an idea of the steps you will go through.
Since most hunters will use a bipod or some sort
of rest to shot from and we recommend using the same to sight you rifle.
1. Follow normal procedures to mount your scope
and get ready for you sight in session.
100 yards is the recommended sight in distance for this procedure.
2. Aim at the bulls-eye and fire one round at
the target.
3. If the point of Impact was not in the
bulls-eye, push the M button to enter the main menu and choose the Zero option,
which is indicated by an icon of a Bullet.
4. To the right of the Icon appears an upwards
and downwards arrow and an auxiliary cross appears in the center of the aiming
reticle. This auxiliary cross will indicate the center of the target, the
"bullseye" if you like.
5. Holding the centre of the auxiliary cross (C)
in the aiming point, rotate the windage/elevation knob (the click wheel on the
side) and move the reticle horizontally or vertically relative to the auxiliary
cross until the reticle matches the point of impact (P). To switch between windage and elevation movement
direction, push the knob to hear a click.
6. Once you have aligned the reticle with the
impact point, keeping the Auxiliary cross in the bull, fire another shot. The
point of impact should now match the target bulls-eye (T).
7. Exit the menu option by holding the M button
for one second.
8. You should now be ready to go, with a zeroed
Digisight at 100 yards.
